DISHA FOUNDATION
Until 1995, Jaipur had only one institute for the intellectually challenged. Children with multiple disabilities had
limited options for adequate care and rehabilitation.
Before 1995, Jaipur had only one institute for intellectually challenged children, leaving those with multiple disabilities without appropriate care. Responding to this gap, a group founded Disha – a Special Education Center. Starting with 17 students and limited resources, Disha rapidly expanded with support from the Khaitan family and the public. By 1995, Disha was officially established, accommodating 100 students by 2000.
